Wannon Water Data Analysis & Reporting Scope Considerations Framework
Alice Drummond
The "Power BI and Data Analytics for Enviros" meetup group is all about sharing tips, tricks and hacks for analysing, visualising and communicating environmental data. The purpose of this blog is to summarise the key take-aways from the sessions, to help with sharing knowledge, empowering others and creating a strong data culture across our community.
Session Summary
For our October 2022 session, we had Michael Crothers from Wannon Water presenting on the Data Analysis & Reporting Scope Considerations Framework he has been developing for Power BI report creators. Michael shared elements of the framework, how it is being applied along with Power BI examples. The session included some great discussion between members from various Victorian Water Corps about how they’re using Power BI internally and how other organisations gather requirements from stakeholders. This is considered one of the most important steps even before starting Power BI development!
